Cleaning our room isn’t just cleaning. It’s a rollercoaster ride with lots of forgotten memories, lost items and a whole lot of trash. Let’s have a look at the physically and mentally exhausting task that is cleaning our rooms!
1 “This won’t take long”
How long can it possibly take to sort through thousands of clothes, books, toys, and other junk?
2 Then you realize it’s gonna take forever
You did not realize what you were getting into until you are going through your items and creating ‘keep’ and ‘discard’ piles.
3 You get distracted
When you suddenly catch a look in the mirror and begin to either admire yourself or complain about the mountain of pimples that are on your face.
4 You find things you lost years ago
It’s like you have walked into the land of Lost and Found.
5 You get on a nostalgic trip to your childhood
You remember the good ol’ days when you see bacha bela ma kheleko toys and grade papers where you have scored 90%.
6 You’re either sleepy or hungry
In the midst of all the trash, you either feel a rumbling in your stomach calling for food, or your eyes slowly hugging each other, demanding sleep.
7 You start checking social media
Just one notification about some event you aren’t even interested at is enough for you to get distracted and spend hours going through the posts.
8 You forget about cleaning your room
New person, who dis? What’s cleaning even mean?
9 Now you are too lazy to clean your room
At this point, you are way past the normal procrastination phase and feel like “Hyaa alchi lagyo, bholi safa garchu!”
Just like the Hindi soaps that continue for ages, your “Cleaning My Room” session never comes to an end.
