The movie revolves around three Nepali children separated from their parents on the escape of the Maoist Insurgency in Nepal. Then they flee to Sikkim. The actors who portray the characters of siblings, Ishika Gurung and Anmol Limbu are beyond adorable!

Since originally releasing in Toronto International Film Festival back in 2017, the film is doing exceptionally well. They won  European Children’s Film Award . Also, they got a special mention in the Awards of The Professional Jury Feature Film International Category. This happened at the SCHLINGEL International Film Festival for Children and Young Audience in Germany.

“Pahuna… will always be a very special film for all of us at Purple Pebble Pictures. When we started the journey of Pahuna…, we didn’t anticipate the film to go this far. But God has been kind and the film has resonated with the audience not just in India but across the globe,” Madhu said in a statement.

However, it is yet to release theatrically in both Nepal and India. But social media is already excited with the buzz. The movie will hit theatres on December 7th in both Nepal and India . Since all the dialogues are in Nepali, it might be a huge hit in Nepal. It’s truly a one of a kind, movie lovers shouldn’t miss it. Let’s hope that it does well!
