How to make “Daal-Bhaat power 24 hour” healthier?

People from other countries gets so shocked when they hear that we eat “Daal-Bhaat” two times a day but the truth is,it is just like brushing two times a day for us. 

We are so dependent on rice and lentils that we don’t think of other alternatives of our lunch and dinner. So, you might want to know how you can make you “daal-bhat” healthier. 

  1. 1 Saag paat


    Although most of us hate to even see "green" things while eating our lunch or dinner, Saagpaat are really healthy for us. They are important for skin, hair, and bone health and they also provide protein, iron, vitamins, and minerals.

  2. 2 Any less oily chicken dish


    Chicken is said to be healthier than red meat. It is tasty and healthy and (chicken breast) is an excellent source of low fat protein

  3. 3 Salad ( I know horrifying)


    You should start  considering adding rice to salad. Seriously,it’s really tasty. Mix rice into a salad made with spinach, sliced green onions, chow mein noodles and chicken. You will be so suprised with the taste. 

  4. 4 Yogurt


    Be sure to allow the rice cool till its warm after cooking and then add yogurt because,  the "good" bacteria will be killed in the high temperature.

    Rice and beans are complementary protein and in moderation they are great sources for complex carbs, fibers, and nutrients.

    It all seems like whole lot of veggies but trust me when all these goodness comes together in the form of sweet gravy, you won't complain a bit about this dish.

    Because "brown" is also beautiful. But in all seriousness, brown rice is healthier than white rice and also helps you in losing weight.
